Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 1, 2026

Overview

Dare helps you focus on three daily actions toward a long-term mission. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Dare, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly and data generated as you use the app.

  • Account details such as your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile picture.
  • Mission, daily actions, reflection entries, streak data, and app preferences.
  • Basic usage events such as page views and feature interactions, used to understand how the product is used.
  • Technical data such as browser type and device information, collected automatically by our hosting and analytics providers.

How we use your information

We use your information to operate and improve Dare.

  • Provide core features such as daily planning, reflection, progress tracking, and history.
  • Authenticate your account and keep your data synced across sessions.
  • Maintain settings such as your display name, mission, and theme preference.
  • Understand product usage so we can improve reliability and experience.

Account required

Dare requires an account to use the app. Your mission, actions, reflections, and related progress data are stored in our database so you can access them from any device.

Third-party services

Dare relies on trusted providers to deliver the service.

  • Supabase for authentication and secure cloud storage of account data.
  • Google Sign-In when you choose to authenticate with Google.
  • Mixpanel for product analytics, which helps us understand how features are used.

Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service.

Your choices

You can update your profile and preferences in Settings. You can sign out at any time. You can permanently delete your account from Settings; that removes your Dare data and stops any active Pro billing.

Security

We use industry-standard practices through our infrastructure providers to protect data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard the information you trust us with.

Children

Dare is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date below. Continued use of Dare after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy.
